I get the TO and FROM etc; subject line, but there is no message, either on reg e-mail or on bulk...no one else on yahoo in our house can retrieve e-mail either...why and how does a near computer illiterate fix it?

I want to send a pen to my friend. It would be inserted into the envelope along with my letter. Would it cost more or would putting the standard $0.41 stamp on it be ok.

My inbox is showing all the replies as one conversation.
I want to put just one of the replies into "spam" but when I try, all of the replies go into "spam"
I am having no luck with "Help" as every time I click on a link there, my browser shuts down.

It takes about 2 minutes for the page to load only to tell me that "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage". Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I have done a disk defragmentation, and disk clean up. I have also cleared my history, and shut down the PC overnight, and restarted. I don't know what else to do. One day it worked fine, the next day, Nothing. I have called the school, and they say everything is fine on there end, and there have been NO other complaints of this problem. UUgghh. Please help.

Go to the network symbol at the lower corner at the right side of your display (Task bar), right click the network (small computer logo), then select repair.

Now .....if you can't access any websites then it's your internet connection. Chances are your service has been disconnected or if you are using a cable modem then you may need to unplug your modem and restart your computer then plug your modem back in.
If you are using a router between your computer and modem then plug your computer straight to the modem and repeat the above step.
These are the only things that I could think of to be your problem.
If all else fails contact your internet provider and they can tell you if your connection is reaching the internet.

I've had my yahoo, hotmail, and g-mail account hacked into before. When I researched this online, I found a lot of sites claiming to send an e-mail to a yahoo mail server in a specific format and it will automatically send you your password. This does not work as I have tried it to get back into an account I have. Of course I can't remember the info because after my account was hacked, I spoofed my personal information therefore hindering myself. I'd reallt like to get back in it as it was one of the original accounts I've had since I began regularly using the internet in the late 90's.
Is it possible for your yahoo, hotmail, or g-mail accounts to be hacked?
I am not certain of that but with technology being what it is ,I doubt anyone has the ability to keep all things confidential at all times its just too wide spread(the Internet) for all things to be safe.

If you make them up, you should have enough sense to write them down.

Out of habit, you use the same password that you use to login to Yahoo or to check you bank statement online.
The hacker has the keys to the vault and it cost them no effort.
Reply:It is not actually possible to 'hack' a popular email provider, as such (ie brute force attack) thanks to modern day technology.
Realistically, the only way someone will 'hack' your account now days, is by guessing your password, guessing your secret question (ie mother's maiden name) - or by phishing.
Phishing is a process where by someone will trick you into giving your password, IE sending an email claiming to be from hotmail staff, asking for your password.
Please remember people can EASILY send fake email.
If I wanted to send you an email from 'support@hotmail.com', I could - it's easy. Remember never ever to give your password away no matter the situation.

I was asked at one point if I wanted to be asked for my password at every session. I clicked yes but I didn't realize that it would be Every time I go to it as I work on my computer. It drives me crazy. I write a comment somewhere, want to store it in my gmail account continuously and am bothered all day long.
I need to change it back the way it was and can find no connection to this problem.

Basically im trying to use a program that will automatically send e-mails to me throughout the day. It says i need a smtp server e-mail and so i made a g-mail account with advice from others. I cannot get the program to work however, maybe you offer some advice?

Yahoo mail is experiencing a glitch. I haven't found a fix for it yet. In the mean-time inform Yahoo! of the problem: http://add.yahoo.com/fast/help/us/mail/c...
For the ones that can't get in at all , try this and see if it works. It seems to be working for a few.
Go to the main yahoo page and sign-in. Then you will see mail in the top right hand side. Hover over it and it should show the mail in your mailbox. Click on one of the e-mails and it opens to that email. Then to go to the main inbox and click on inbox. You still can't send or reply. But at least you can view your e-mails.
I hope this helps you until Yahoo can fix the problem.

still, both google and yahoo have some extras i don't need. google, however, had that nice book and scholarly paper search, which really comes in handy. it also has google earth, which is somewhat entertaining to use. i also use its search engine more than i use yahoo's.
nonetheless, yahoo has a few nice extras, such as yahoo answers, which is entertaining. ultimately, however, i think google is better than yahoo because it is better for my demands and seems more efficient. (please don't ban me.) the hero strikes again!

I am failing to open any web link from my yahoo messanger (e.g yahoo mail, yahoo help,..). Can someone assist?
Yahoo mail servers have been on and offline while installing and updating the new yahoo mail replacing beta mail. I also have that message on my home page and I don't want it at all. I've seen it. I hope I can get back to the original one.

Why pay for Yahoo Mail Plus, when G-mail is Free?
I just realized I pay 20 USD pr. year for Yahoo Mail Plus.
2 years back, I remember I chose to pay, because I wanted Outlook as my e-mail client. I still use Outlook. And it all works well.
However, a friend of mine just told me paying for this is silly, as you can use e.g. g-mail for free (and also use Outlook etc).
Any comments? Any use of continue to pay for Yahoo Plus?

Recently I've been getting a lot of spammy and junk e-mails on my G-Mail account which also happens to be my default e-mail provider, I have tried creating several filters %26amp; marking them as spam. Nothing works.
Now the details:
The messages are totally pointless for a student like me..
"Buy Viagra online to boost your sexual life"
"Low Cost Canadian Pharmacy"
"Soft-Cialis to boost your sex life"
and so on..
The e-mail sender differs in every e-mail.

There's really nothing much you can do about these spam emails.
If you open these emails up, you may notice a "unsubscribe" button. Sometimes these work, but most of the times replying to unsubscribe will just let those spammers know that there is someone on the receiving end! Most often than not, the spam emails you increase.
Since the email sender differs everytime, there is no way you can block them too.
Simply mark them as spam everytime for a few weeks at least, this will train Google's spam recognition.
I suggest you stop posting your email address on the internet publicly if you are, because spam bots are everywhere to harbest them. Also, you may wish to set up different accounts for different purposes.
I don't think anyone will misunderstand, as EVERYONE get these spam mails at one point or another.
