How do you sign up to sign up people for gigs e.g be one of the people with mailing lists outside the gig? x?

Why is e.g.free2rhyme@yahoo.com under my sign in name on the log in page for Yahoo mail?
It's giving an example of what you are supposed to write there. "free2rhyme@yahoo.com" is an example of a Yahoo! ID. e.g. means "for example" from Latin "exempli gratia." It is just showing what you are supposed to put there. Just like "example@yahoo.com" or "example@example.com." It's nothing to worry about. It's only for help, not harm. :)

聽聽聽If you are able to sign into anything else Yahoo! (like Messenger for example) then the problem is most likely just a temporary one with Yahoo! Mail itself.
聽聽聽If your homepage has changed to a different looking Yahoo! page it's because Yahoo! is testing a new format on random users. It will revert back to the original page in a few days. If you hate it, there should be a link to allow you to give feedback about the new format, tell them all about why you don't like it.
聽聽聽You can try deleting your cache, the whole delete the temp files and cookies thing, that may get rid of it briefly for the time being.
聽聽聽Personally I like the new format, I think the layout is better. Besides, it's only the generic Yahoo! page that's affected, if you'd have bothered taking the 3 minutes necessary to set up your own "My Yahoo!" page and set it as your home page then you'd have never known anything was different.

You didn't say what your homepage changed to, nor did you say if you could get to the sign-in page at all and not just get a warning after you enter an incorrect password, (try signing in to Yahoo Messenger, for example, to check) but it sounds like you have some spyware on your system. Do a spyware scan (you can use Ad-Aware from http://www.lavasoft.de/software/adaware/ ) and get rid of the bad stuff on your system.

All tests on the network show that the network is fine. All routers are responding, servers seem to be OK, but you can't seem to access any of them with their NetBIOS name or domain name.
Sounds like a DNS server. So you check the DNS server to find that it is functioning properly. Since you don't utilize WINS, that certainly isn't the problem.
What could be causing this problem? Why would more than one person have a similar problem?

On mail page click on "options" and then scroll to "filters". Click on "add" and enter the words you object to in the spaces provided ----either in: --from or to, header---subject----body (OR all of them). Then choose folder to send them to---such as trash. Then click on "add filter"

In some cases, if you let your mouse cursor "hover" near or over the symbol it will activate a description ie: a blue arrow pointing left is indicating that you replied to a message.

Yahoo Photos an area you can upload your pictures to and allow others to view them.
Of course if you don't want to use these additional features you don't have to.

The msgs are either porn or refer to porn sites. Since they use weird symbols in place of Sender's Name, I can't block them. HELP!

Is it actually your ID with this name or another one? If its yours someone has been going on your ID from a computer, not necessarily yours. Try changing your password, and your name of course.
Otherwise, it is probably that somebody who uses your computer has created a fake account and is not closing it down/choosing for it to stay open.
Either that or someone accidentally put "Jerry" instead of their name and now can't change it, does anyone you share with have a similar name to this.

We have a mobile phone/satellite connection (via a burnside) and being on line costs-a-lot. If I can compose off line, can just go online to send / receive messages and then read at leisure. My current server which works via Outlook Express is being seen as SPAM by the larger servers and my outgoing messages get automatically deleted. But have tried to find the in/out addresses for the larger servers, Hotmail, Orange, but they won麓t provide them.
Any ideas ?

about the offers, some are free some are cheap. i completed an offer that made me buy a cd for $7 because in the end i would have ended up buying it anyways but for more had i bought it in a retail store instead of online. i havent been cheated or had info sold like alot of know-nothings on here who havent done their research say. i highly doubt that several news stations would report on how great the site is, if it wasnt legit.
im not gonna force you all to look at the link, but if you or anyone else here wants a legit link, email me/ message me/ whatever.

In the furture be VERY carefull who you give your email address to, signing up for website that you dont know may give away your email address to spam companies, or if you lets say post on a forum, that gives out your email address people may take your email address and sell it to spam companies, also when you receive spam DO NOT CLICK ANY LINKS!!!! Theese links will tell the site that sent it to you that this is an active account, and will send MORE spam to you.

Login to your email id and click the dropdown option next to "Mail" and select "folders".
The folders will be displayed below. You can find "Rename" "Delete" option against each folder. You can select whichever you want to.

This is how u can do it. But take care that gif image cannot be added in the image section of ur blog. It can be added only in ur blog entry. Make sure to type something on ur blog entry page also otherwise it will not work. Now note the procedure.Visit the following site. Click the image group, u will be taken to second page, here u select the image and click on that. On the next page click on download image. Now copy the html code of the image.

i click the box that says check all and then i click the delete button. the new yahoo mail allows you to delete them all at once when all of them are checked. i just deleted 645 emails, in the middle of typing this last sentence, in my inbox and now it's empty. empty the trash and voila

Yahoo has been having major server issues since at LEAST Jan. 10, seemingly just with particular servers. And what's happening to you is unfortunately one of the many problems that people are having because of them, and Yahoo doesn't seem to be in any particular hurry to solve them. And the problems are not just w/Yahoo Beta or IE7; I and others not using either are having similar problems. But both do have more problems; if you're using Beta, it's still in the testing stage and has a lot of problems, so go back to original Yahoo mail, and the same w/IE7, go back to IE6 until MS irons out all the problems.
I've had to use another acct.provided free by my ISP to send/rcv important e-mails since Jan. 10, and it's been working just fine the whole time. If you don't have another acct.w/another provider besides Yahoo, I'd strongly advise to get one; it makes a good backup in case of problems like this.
Please see my posting from Fri. Jan. 12 under the heading "Anyone having problems of any kind w/Yahoo Mail, PLEASE READ THIS" for more info and on reporting problems to Yahoo.
Since that original posting, they've also sent another e-mail that they've escalated the problem (or should I say problems!) to their engineering department, which is an indication of major problems, and not just a minor S/W "glitch." And again, these problems are not exclusive to Yahoo's Beta, but it does seem to compound the existing problems. This would indicate to me that there are also compatibility issues btwn. the H/W and S/W, besides the server problems.

They will often ask you to call a premium rate number and keep you holding on whilst you rack up a huge phone bill. They are then paid a large proportion of this phone bill. They may ask you to divulge personal information about yourself or ask for your bank or credit card details. Do not divulge any such information under any circumstances. It is surprising how many innocent victims have been duped by these types of emails. Just remember the thieves who send them are very clever and extremely convincing. I suggest you delete the email and send it into cyberspace, hopefully along with the thieving scumbags who send them.

You need to change your "From" and that will fix your problem.
Click Options in the upper-right corner of your Yahoo! Mail page.
Under “Management”, click General Preferences.

Ideally, I would like to call a free helpline to complain about the slow or non-functional service and get it rectified. I can find no ways to do this on the Yahoo site or by searching Google - it's REALLY annoying. Many thanks

I agree that it is very frustrating. I have looked myself, and there is no clear way to contact this company, even if you pay for services. It is clearly deliberate. I think they did have a Support service once, but in these days of Forums that is a non-starter.
Please note that a message in the "Problems with service" section gets marked as Resolved if it is more than three days old. If only. Perhaps disgruntled customers should start using the Investor Relations channels.

Yahoo tweaking its servers to prevent spam. They may be doing that, but it does not seem to explain the level of outage over the past couple of months, just good news trivia. And there is no mention anywehere in the blog of the level of customer irritation and worse. Low credibilty.

I can't revert back to Beta Mail from my "Mail Clasic" on my Mac G-4. It's Beta on other PC's...is it the MAc?
I use classic on my Mac. I started out in beta in a new account, but reverted right back to classic without a problem. While in beta, under "Options", you'll see there is a little arrow. Once the choices drop down, you'll see the option to go back to Classic. I just tested it on my G4... works fine.

Yahoo new mail alerts are on the messenger. If you have the messenger then go to it and click messenger, scroll to and click Preferences. On the side menu click Alerts and Sounds. I am unfamiliar with Outlook and I like Gmail. What are the advantages of receiving my G-mails in my Outlook?
If you are looking for a way to consolidate multiple email addresses then Outlook will accomplish that easily. If you just want to access your Gmail with another client - Outlook will work but of course, you can access you're mail on-line. Perhaps one advantage would be that you could compose mail offline in Outlook and queue it up to be sent when you are ready but I'm sure you can do that in Gmail. Outlook is a great program, it has a nice set of features such as contacts, tasks, calenders and unlimited folders you can create to sort your mail and generally keep yourself organized and efficient. I would think it would be a bulky if your intention is to use it for email only.

1099-G form in the mail...?
Today I recieved a 1099 G form from IL in the mail and i'm not sure what it is. I lived in IL all of my life up until August 08 and then i moved to Hawaiii which is where i'm at now. I've never recieved a form like this before. I was unemployed Feb 08-May08 but wasn't awarded unemployment benefits. In "box 2" it has $60.00 and says this amt was reported to the IRS and may be taxable to if you deducted the tax paid as an itemized deduction on your federal income text return 2007. Can anyone explain this to me?

Difficult question!
The only way to get into her myspace is by guessing her password. Unless of course you have access to the email account she uses for it, when you could got through the whole "Forgot your password?" thing. You could reset it and log in that way.
As to the voice mail, I'm assuming you don't mean a mobile (cell) phone voicemail. Most landline voicemails have a way to tap in from another phone, by keying in certain number combinations once the message starts up. She may never have used this function herself, so the number may be the one pre-set in the phone. If you could find an instruction leaflet for her make/model, you could try that.
If you meant a mobile phone voicemail, the only way to get to it is, I think, by getting hold of her mobile phone - but this could provide you with a wealth of information anyway, through text messages and so forth.
But beware - if you do these things, and you find out something you don't like, it's going to feel pretty rotten.

I know if you move, you can go to the post office and fill out an application to have YOUR mail forwarded. I don't know if you can have someone else's forwarded without their information. Do you know the previous tenants? Get in touch with them and kindly ask them to forward their mail. You can also just put it back in the mailbox and it will go away. I don't know if they forward returned mail.

Should I E-mail My Ex G/F?
Hi. Last night I found the E-mail Address %26amp; Myspace profile page for my ex-girlfriend. We haven't had any contact in about 6-7 years. We're both living several States apart. Although, she's still in our old hometown. I have very little family or friends left there. The town isn't small.
What I'm debating is whether or not to contact her. I'm not even certain she checks her E-mail much or at all. Her last Myspace login in was several months ago. Unless she's been logging on invisibly. The E-mail I found for her also doesn't come up when you do a Myspace search.
My heart tells me I should contact her for old times sake and because I do care. My mind tells me: "what's the point?" "what am I looking to accomplish in E-mailing her?"
The relationship was overall real good. We had many amazing memories. On her Myspace she has pictures of herself and a boyfriend. Our relation didn't end on the best of terms. Should I E-mail her?
Should I E-mail My Ex G/F?
Since she is committed i am going with NO. You have to remember with one simple email saying hi, could change or ruin everything with her new relationship with the other guy. I mean there would be no harm EXCEPT she has a man, And with that said, i would not get involved.
My husband's ex sent him a email after 6-7 years and i was devastated. She was hashing all their old memories out, spilling how much she missed him, and all that jazz....KNOWING he was married. Just put yourself in that guys shoes..would you want the same thing to happen to you? I am sure not....
Good luck with your decision. The past is the past. I would leave it at that. Unless she comes up single and i wouldn't go for it.
Reply:Do what your heart is telling you, you know what to do, be persistent about it and don't give up if that's what you really want, the problem with realationships now is that people give up to easy, we get something stuck in our head and we drop everything and don't look back and people wonder why, I say , myself if you still care and it seems like you do, go for it and don't stop till you find her
Reply:Think about the new guy in her life, would you appreciate it if you girlfriend's ex contacted her after years of not seeing each other? No you wouldn't so why rock the boat, you split up for a reason and it was good enough at the time, so whats changed? Just leave it be or she might become an obsession.

You never know you might make a really good friend out of it. What I'm debating is whether or not to contact her. I'm not even certain she checks her E-mail much or at all. Her last Myspace login in was several months ago. Unless she's been logging on invisibly. The E-mail I found for her also doesn't come up when you do a Myspace search.
My heart tells me I should contact her for old times sake and because I do care. My mind tells me: "what's the point?" "what am I looking to accomplish in E-mailing her?"

IT was a postal order for my sons hip carrier i wanted for him,it was sent the 13th this month its definantly left this country for fargo,but when trying to track through using the ref number on the american postal site it doesnt accept the reference number,can anyone help or give me a website that will!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The sad part is that it is a historical document and the format prevents it from being appreciated. However, I imagine museums will find a way to include electronic correspondence such as texts, emails, and the like eventually.

Your best bet is to check online at the U. S. Postal Service Website http://www.usps.com. They have pix of all the postage and the rates.

Reply:if in the USA, then put a line through the address and write moved on it along with the new address.I would also send to the old tenants a change of address package, as you do not want their old bills etc coming to your house, or any one that they might owe money coming to your door looking for them. You can then place it back in your mail box for the postman to collect.
If in the uk you can do the same but drop it into a postbox.

You have to download Yahoo Messenger to your computer. When logged in, you will hear a sound when you have new mail.

How do I forward an e.mail on but delete the history of where the e.mail has come from.. e.g on jokey e.mails?
Hi, forward it as an "inline text" by clicking on the drop down menu on the "forward" button. Then when the body of the email appears, just delete what you don't want for the recipient to see, and send away. Hope this helps.*
