On Widows XP how do I change a name on top of a sending e-mail e.g. From: Bill Smith to "Smithy"
If you're using outlook express you click on tools at top of page on dropdown click accounts%26gt;on the box which appears click properties at right side ,,,here you can change the name

Reply:Assuming your using Outlook Express, you'll need to go into your Account Settings and change the item titled Display Name for the email address account you want to change.





If your talking just using Windows XP to get say your Yahoo Mail via the a web browser, then you need to login to Yahoo Mail (http://mail.yahoo.com/) go into Options %26gt; General Preferences and change the From Name field
