"Please forward to: John Doe 1234 Cherry Lane MI 49009
Can I FORWARD someones mail to them? (e.g. previous tenants that I know...) and if so...HOW?
Yes go to you local Post Office.
Reply:if in the USA, then put a line through the address and write moved on it along with the new address.I would also send to the old tenants a change of address package, as you do not want their old bills etc coming to your house, or any one that they might owe money coming to your door looking for them. You can then place it back in your mail box for the postman to collect.

If in the uk you can do the same but drop it into a postbox.
Reply:yes, you can just write it on the envelope but most likely they will send it to that person.if your not sure just make sure you have a copy.
Reply:yes - the post office will tell you that their job is to deliver mail not pick it up-just drop it in a big blue mail box
Reply:Yes, you can do that.

If I don't know the new address of the person who lived in a place before, I just write "Please Forward to New Address" and drop it in a box. I have no way of knowing if the Post Office has the new address on file, or where the letters ultimately go, but they never come back to me.
Reply:Normally what I do is put a thick black strike mark across the address and write "MOVED" next to it and put the mail back in the public mail box. Then the post office can do whatever they want with it.
Reply:Use your orange crayon and write "Forward to them" on the envelope and put it in your local church collection plate.
Reply:Sure you can.

Just cross out the address and put in the party's forwarding address in its place and put back in the mail box.
Reply:That will work.
Reply:Just write "no longer lives here" on the mail and put it in the mail box.
