Reply:Hotmail, Yahoo, Gmail, and AOL are the most common. Excite used to be common, but not so much now.
Reply:not sure how well known you need them to be but there is also 'Hushmail' (www.hushmail.com) you can set up temp ones like when you have to register and don't really want your email address being spammed for ever and a day! Go for the free option. You can get any name you want on it, no horrible tests or setup systems...just register and get going!
